The seven new large oil paintings comprising this exhibition highlight Frizzell’s ability to juxtapose his commercial art work and fine art practice. His experience as an animator, commercial artist and illustrator clearly provide the basis for his skilful execution and inspired pastiche of images, aptly demonstrated by Pink Hotel” 2009, drawing heavily on modern art and graphic design.
